The Other Side: #2
Radical Pursuits: Delights in the subversive and sublime:
This exhibition is part 2 of an idea to bring together the work of a number of artists whose art reflect most original and diverse achievements in the investigations of radical pursuits and the delights in the subversive and sublime. The exhibition will include installations by Mike Kelley, works by Richard Prince, Francis Bacon, On Kawara, Paul McCarthy, Martin Kippenberger, Chirstopher Wool, Damien Hirst, Tracy Emin, David Lachapelle, Jenny Saville, Eberhard Havekost, Lisa Yuskavage among others.
Part 1 of this exhibition, shown in the spring of 2006 attempted to show the underbelly-the subversive-the defiant tendencies of art-the perimeters of aesthetic concerns that encompass elements of displacement, disruption, erosion and decay.
The exhibition will be followed by a publication including both exhibitions.
The exhibition will open November 11 and will be on view through February 3, 2007.
